Inter Association
The Second round of association matches last night (14th June) saw West Mon and South Mon pick up 20 in their respective matches to sit first and second in the table followed by Rhymney & Sirhowy Valley who slipped up at Newport.


W.B.A. Carruthers Shield - 1st Round
Always going to lose at least two clubs due to them being all MBA ties, firstly R.T.B. Ebbw Vale held out for a win at Blaina 82 - 64 and Cwmbran just had enough to overcome Blackwood 74 - 68.
Elsewhere, Chepstow gave a great performance at home but were edged out 81 - 85 by Gilfach Bargoed. Six Bells did even better beating Aberaeron 77 - 70 at home. Finally Aberavon proved a little too strong for Blaenavon coming out on top 85 - 55.

M.B.A. Division 1
Bedwas picked up 12 at Beaufort to go second in the table and Crosskeys had a valuable 10-4 win against Abertillery.

M.B.A. Division 2
Rhymney Gwent go second after picking up 12 against Newbridge Abergavenny moved up the table after overcoming Brynmawr 12-2 also.

M.B.A. Division 3
Pontnewydd remain top after getting 10 at St Julians, Pontypool Park Girlings go second after beating New Tredegar 10-4 and Rhymney Royal move up to third after an impressive 14-0 win at Caerleon.

M.B.A. Division 4
Whiteheads are top after getting 11 at Abercarn with Pontymister Welfare second after beating Oakdale 10-4. Belle Vue picked up a 10-4 win at Ebbw Vale Welfare.

M.B.A. Division 5
Panteg Park move up to second after beating Newport Athletic 10-4, Beechwood and Monmouth both recorded good wins to move up the table.

G.B.L. Division 1
Crickhowell go second after a 12-0 win at Pontymister Athletic, Newbridge had a narrow one shot victory over Chepstow, Caldicot remain bottom despite recording their first win of the season at Blackwood.

G.B.L. Division 2
Pontypool Park Girlings move up to third after winning 10-2 at Abertillery and Bedwellty Park move up to fourth with the same score at Bailey Park.

M.B.A. Cup - 2nd Round
Pontymister Athletic won at Machen to set up at tie with Cwmbran next Friday.
