M.B.A. Cup Round 3, M.B.A. and G.B.L. Leagues Round up from League Secretary Peter Williams


M.B.A. Cup Round 3
Bedwas beat Six Bells, Machen won at Newbridge, Abertillery won at Bedwellty Park, Brynmawr won at Pontymister Welfare, Rhymney Royal beat St Julians, Beaufort won at Blackwood, RTB beat Pontymister Athletic and New Tredegar beat Pontnewydd. President Alan Witchell and Vice President Dave Willing drew the quarter finals this afternoon (Sunday 24th)

Draw as followed :-
Rhymney Royal play Machen
Beaufort play Bedwas & Trethomas
R.T.B. Ebbw Vale play Abertillery
New Tredegar play Brynmawr.

M.B.A. Division 1
RTB came out on top at Machen to remind everyone they are still in it, Pontymister Athletic had a good win at Chepstow, Bedwas beat Crosskeys and Beaufort won at Cwmbran.
M.B.A. Division 2
Abertillery and Blackwood won to stay one and two in the league, Rhymney Gwent move into third with a win at Bedwellty and Caldicot finally get a win beating Newbridge.
M.B.A. Division 3
Brynmawr stay top after a win at Blaenavon, Pontypool Girlings go second after winning against Caerleon. New Tredegar slipped up at Blaina and Six Bells won at the Royal.
M.B.A. Division 4
St. Julians won to stay top, Pontnewydd go second after beating Oakdale, Llanhilleth go up to fourth after beating Llanwern and Pontymister Welfare had a narrow win over Abercarn.
M.B.A. Division 5
Whiteheads won the local derby at the NAC to stay top, Ebbw Vale Welfare beat Firbank, I haven't heard from Belle Vue or Monmouth yet?
M.B.A. Division 6
Ynysddu continue to be the team to beat in this league and made it six from six against Pontyfelin, Gilwern move into second after topping a hundred shots against Garndiffaith. Beechwood and Standard are yet to submit their results.

G.B.L. Division 1
Beaufort stay top after beating Bailey Park, Pontymister Athletic and RTB both won to maintain their challenge.
G.B.L. Division 2
Newbridge got back to winning ways at Abertillery to stay top and Pontypool Girlings move up to third after winning at Rogerstone.
