In a day almost destroyed by the extreme heat, the first thing to say is congratulations to RTB Ebbw Vale on retaining the Carruthers shield in the sun trap that is Llandrindod, you played two matches back to back while half of Monmouthshire cried off.

Croesyceiliog had the chance to go back to the top but found Chepstow a bit warm and went down 9-5. Bedwas are up to third after a 12-2 win at Blackwood and Pontymister Athletic moved up the table beating Machen 10-4.

Cwmbran go top after beating Beaufort 12-2 while Newbridge move up the table after a 12-2 win at Pontypool. Abergavenny continue their fight to stay in the division with a 10-4 win at Abertillery.

Rhymney Royal continue to dominate beating Panteg House 14-0, New Tredegar make ground after beating Blaina 8-6 and St. Julians won 10-4 at Six Bells.

The only result here saw Bedwas beat Newbridge 12-0 to move up to second place.

Blaina lost 8-4 to Caldicot in the week and followed up with another defeat today 0-12 to Blackwood.
