Weekly Roundup from M.B.A. and G.B.L. Leagues


M.B.A. Division 1
RTB have resumed normal service here after this weeks results and now look in a good position to retain their title after slip ups from both Machen and Beaufort.
Bedwas Cwmbran and Chepstow all had good wins to give themselves a chance to avoid the drop, Crosskeys slip to the foot of the table.

M.B.A. Division 2
Leaders Abertillery slipped up at Abergavenny and Blackwood took advantage to become the new leaders. Caldicot remain bottom after another home defeat while there were much needed wins for Croesyceiliog, Bedwellty Park and Abergavenny.

M.B.A. Division 3
Brynmawr returned to the top after beating Rhymney Royal with Blaina, Caerleon and Blaenavon recording wins.

M.B.A. Division 4
St. Julians slipped up and Pontnewydd took over the leadership of this division, Llanhilleth remain in contention after their win over the leaders and Oakdale returned to winning ways too and also pose a challenge.

M.B.A. Division 5
Whiteheads remain top despite being beaten at Ebbw Vale Welfare but Newport Athletic and Belle Vue both closed in on them with wins.

M.B.A. Division 6
Runaway leaders Ynysddu suffered their second defeat on the bounce but remain top with Gilwern closing the gap, Beechwood and Pontyfelin also recording much needed wins.


G.B.L. Division 1
Beaufort remain top with 10 from 10 and with second place Chepstow losing at RTB, the gap opened slightly. Crickhowell and Blackwood also won their matches in this division.

G.B.L. Division 2
Runaway leaders Newbridge had a tough Battle at home to Blaina with the game finishing level on shots but Blaina taking more points due to rink scores. Croesyceiliog and Rogerstone both won their matches.
