MBA Cup
Friday saw the semi finals of the MBA Cup take place with the four remaining teams battling it out to book their place in the final. At Pontymister Athletic, Crosskeys got out of the blocks quickly against last years finalists St. Julians, and never surrendered their advantage, running out winners by 29 shots. Over at New Tredegar, last years champions RTB Ebbw Vale entertained Blackwood. In a very tightly contested game, where there was only a single figure difference between the sides, it was Blackwood who finished the stronger to win by 2 shots and secure their spot in the final.

Crosskeys vs Blackwood, will now take place at Abergavenny on Friday 2nd August.

MBA Division 1
No movement in the league this week as leaders Crosskeys continue to march on at the top of the table, securing their 3rd 14 point victory in a row, this time on the road against Cwmbran Park. Bedwas remain 2nd as they held out Blackwood 10-4, Pontymister Athletic picked up 12 points at home to Rhymney Royal and Croesyceiliog secured a big win at home to Newbridge, taking all of the points on offer.

MBA Division 2
St Julians remain top following their 11-3 top of the table clash win against RTB Ebbw Vale. Rhymney Gwent remain in 4th as they secured a narrow 12-2 win over Pontypool Park Girlings. Blaenavon move up 1 place with a comfortable 12-2 win at Chepstow, whilst Pontnewydd moved off the bottom of the table following a maximum 14 points win over Caldicot.

MBA Division 3
Blaina continue to lead the way in Division 3 with a 10-4 home win against Ynysddu. Abergavenny trade places with Llanhilleth in the table following a 9-5 win over Machen, as Beaufort secure only their 2nd win of the season with a 13-1 win against Llanhilleth. Abertillery closed the gap with the teams above the to only a few points, as they picked up full points at home to Bedwellty Park.

MBA Division 4
Beechwood (10-4 against Firbank) and Panteg House (14-0 against Caerlon) continue to push at the top of the division with only 2 points separating them.
New Tredegar remain in 3rd place following an 8-6 win over Panteg Park as Oakdale secure a 12-2 away win at Pontymister Welfare to move up 2 places.

MBA Division 5
Aberca continue to hold onto top place with a 12-2 win over Belle Vue. Whiteheads are still hot on their heels as they also recorded a 12-2 win over Newport Athletic, and it looks to be these two sides who may well battle it out for the title with 40 points now separating 2nd and 3rd. Gadiffaith held of Six Bells to pick up 10 points as did Gilwe, would secured 10 points at Pontyfelin.

GBL Division 1
No movement in division 1 as leaders Monmouth secure a 10-2 win over Chepstow. Pontymister Athletic close the gap to 6 points at the top as they picked up maximum points at Newbridge, and 3rd place Bedwas also recorded maximum points at Crosskeys.

GBL Division 2
Blackwood move to the top of the table with a 10-2 win over Rhymney & Sirhowy rivals Bedwellty Park. Futher down in the table, Blaina secured narrow 8-4 win over Pontymister Welfare whilst Whiteheads and Beechwood had to settle for a share of the points as their game ended in a draw.

GBL Division 3
Croesyceiliog retued to winning ways as they picked up 10 points against Cwmbran Park as Beaufort secured a narrow 8-2 win at St Julians to remain 5th in the table. Ynysddu (10-0 vs Blackwood) and Bailey Park(10-0 vs Pontypool Park Girlings) both moved up 1 place in the table as they secured wins agsinst their respective opponents.
