Inter Association
Results on the penultimate Friday of the Inter Association ensure that the race for the title go to the final day as just 6 points now separate Easte Valley, West Mon and Newport & District. Easte Valley moved top with an 18-4 win at South Mon, whilst West Mon won 20-2 against Newport & District to move 2nd, just 2 points behind. Rhymney & Sirhowy rise to 4th as the won 20-2 against East Mon.
Carruthers Shield - Last 16
The Carruthers Shield continued on Saturday as our 5 remaining teams looked to book their place in the Quarter Finals. Beaufort travelled to last year's finalists Craig Merthyr but fell just short in an 8 shot defeat whilst Crosskeys also came up just short by 9 shots in their defeat at Penylan. Croesyceiliog also fell to defeat at Gilfach Bargoed. A bad day for Llanhilleth saw their campaign end at home as they were well beaten by Merthyr West End whilst RTB Ebbw Vale ended up being the only Monmouthshire team to progress as they won their home encounter with Whitchurch by 28 shots.

MBA Division 1
With leaders Crosskeys not playing, Bedwas closed the gap to single figures with a 14-0 win over Ynysddu. There were also Maximum points for Blaina (Vs Pontymister Athletic) and Blackwood (Vs St. Julian's) leaving them sit 3rd and 4th in the standings as the gap between the top 4 narrows to just 8 points.
MBA Division 2
The top of the table clash sees RTB Ebbw Vale take over at the summit again as they saw off Bedwellty Park in a 12-2 win. Pontnewydd remain 3rd but maintain their push for the top spots as they won 12-2 at Caldicot whilst Newbridge rise to 4th with a 12-2 win over Cwmbran Park. Blaenavon drop 1 place to 5th despite a 10-4 win over Rhymney Gwent.
MBA Division 3
Panteg House are the new division leaders as they won 10-4 at home to Chepstow. Rhymney Royal picked up a 12-2 win over Abertillery to move into 4th place whilst Beechwood move off the bottom of the table with a 12-2 win at Pontypool Park. New Tredegar and Llanhilleth was postponed due to the visitors involvement in the Carruthers Shield.
MBA Division 4
With Leaders Aberca not in action, Oakdale took the opportunity to close in at the top with a 10-4 win over Beaufort. Newport Athletic also remain firmly in the hunt as they came away from Abergavenny with a 13-1 win. Elsewhere Panteg Park remain 4th with a 12-2 win at Crickhowell whilst Six Bells move up into 5th with a 14-0 win over Machen.
MBA Division 5
Firbank moved top of division following a comfortable 12-2 win over PILCS as previously leaders Whiteheads fell to a 10-4 defeat at home to Gilwe. Caerleon picked up a 12-2 win over Oakdale Welfare to remain 7th. Pontymister Welfare continue to have player shortages and had to postpone their game with Gadiffaith.
3 Rink GBL - Division 1
A quieter weekend in the division with only 2 games. Crosskeys opened up a lead of 12 points at the summit as they won 10-2 against Croesyceiliog whilst Pontymister Athletic remain firmly in the title chase as they 10-2 at home to Monmouth to move 4th.
3 Rink GBL - Division 2
A 12-0 win for Chepstow against Blaina sees them remain Division 2 leaders whilst 2 wins for Ynysddu (11-1 Vs Abergavenny and 10-2 Vs Blaina) sees them jump into 2nd place and with 3 games in hand on the leader, they are firmly aiming for the top spot. Elsewhere Caldicot retued home from Aberca with a 10-2 win.
2 Rink GBL - Division 1
Bailey Park retain the leader of the division with an 8-2 win over Caldicot. Croesyceiliog continue to push the leaders as they also won, 8-2 at Panteg House to sit 4 points behind with a game in hand. Pontypool Park picked up their 2nd win of the season as they won 8-2 against Pontymister Athletic. New Tredegar and Beaufort was called off due to the visitors having player shortages.
2 Rink GBL - Division 2
Unfortunately a number of games were postponed due to teams having players shortages in division 2, with only Oakdale and Blackwood managing to play. It was the visitors who came away with a 10-0 win to move into 4th place. Sunday saw our first application of the 2 match cancellation rule, as Crickhowell were awarded the game against Beechwood.
