Friday saw Newport & District maintain their 100% record as they edged out South Mon by just 3.5 shots with an 18-4 win. Easte Valley remain 2nd following a comfortable 20-2 win over Rhymney & Sirhowy whilst West Mon also kept themselves in the hunt for the title as they came away with a 19-3 win over East Mon.
MBA Division 1
Crosskeys opened up a 21 point lead at the top of division one following a convincing 14-0 win at home to Pontymister Athletic whilst Blaina remain 2nd despite an 11-3 defeat at Bedwas, who rise to 5th following the win. Ynysddu move up to 3rd after their 12-2 win at home to Blackwood. Player shortages at St. Julian's meant their game with Croesyceiliog was postponed and will be played at a later date.
MBA Division 2
4 points at Blaenavon was enough for RTB Ebbw Vale hold on top onto top spot despite defeat, with Blaenavon moving up to 4th with the win. Bedwellty move up to 2nd as they saw off Caldicot in a 12-2 win whilst Rhymney Gwent collected all 14 points in their encounter with Cwmbran Park and now sit 6th in the standings.
MBA Division 3
A maximum points win for New Tredegar at home to Panteg House sees them rise to the top of division 3. Abertillery also collected the full 14 points with a convincing home win against Chepstow. Elsewhere, Pontypool Park remain 2nd following an 11-3 win over Llanhilleth and Rhymney Royal retued home with a 12-2 win from Beechwood.
MBA Division 4
A few rearranged games in the week to start, with Newport Athletic edging out Crickhowell 10-4 on Monday and Oakdale winning 12-2 at home to Aberca in the Wednesday. Despite the defeat, Aberca bounced back on the Saturday with a 10-4 win over Newport Athletic to sit top. Oakdale are hot on their heels as they maintained their 100% record with an 11-3 win at Crickhowell and sit just 2 points back with a game in hand. Machen rise to 4th with a 12-2 win over Beaufort whilst Six Bells and Panteg Park had to share the spoils 7-7 as they played out a draw.
MBA Division 5
A 12-2 win for Whiteheads over Pontymister Welfare sees them open up a 14 points lead at the top whilst PILCS move into 2nd place as the also won 12-2 at Gadiffaith. Belle Vue rise to 3rd following a maximum 14 points despite playing short. Gilwe also moved up in the standings as they also collected 14 points at home to Firbank.
3 Rink GBL - Division 1
A 10-2 win on Wednesday for Crosskeys ( v Pontymister Athletic) followed by an 8-4 win at Bedwellty Park sees them climb to the top of the division as previous leaders Blackwood fell to a 12-0 defeat to visiting RTB Ebbw Vale. Pontymister Athletic bounced back with a 10-2 in over Croesyceiliog whilst Newbridge secured their 2nd win of the season, a 10-2 win over Bedwellty Park.
3 Rink GBL - Division 2
With the game between Chepstow and Aberca called off due to the visitors having player shortages, Bedwas closed the gap at the top to single digits with a 12-0 win at Caldicot. Abergavenny took all 12 points at home to Blaina but were on the receiving end of a 12-0 score line as they fell to defeat on Sundays trip to Chepstow.
2 Rink GBL - Division 1
Croesyceiliog moved into 2nd place as they won both rinks at leader Bailey Park, now sitting 6 points back with a game in hand. Beaufort rose in the standing to 4th with a 10-0 win at Pontypool Park whilst Caldicot won a tightly fought game with New Tredegar 8-2. Sunday saw Panteg House pick up their 2nd win, an 8-2 win at Pontymister Athletic.
2 Rink GBL - Division 2
Panteg Park continue to lead the way with a 7th consecutive win, this time an 8-2 win at Blackwood whilst Abertillery moved into 2nd place with an 8-2 win at home to Beechwood. Pontymister Welfare continue to have player issues as they cancelled against Oakdale.
