MBA Cup
Friday saw the continuation of the 2nd Round of the MBA Cup take place with 13 of the scheduled matches taking place. Abertillery and Ynysddu were handed places in the next round as their respective opponents were unable to get enough players to fulfil the fixtures and Pontnewydd booked their place last week with victory over New Tredegar.
RTB Ebbw Vale continued in the defence of their title with victory over Beechwood and Blackwood continued in their winning ways with victory at Rhymney Royal, as did Aberca who won at Panteg House.
There were away wins for Cwmbran ( at Chepstow ), Blaenavon (at Belle Vue), Croesyceilog (at Pontypool Park Girlings) and Oakdale (at Newport Athletic) who all progress into the 3rd Round.
Home wins for Six Bells, Crosskeys, Caldicot, Blaina against their respective opponents saw them all progress and in the closest games of the evening, Beaufort secured their progress with a 9 shot win at Bedwas, as did St Julian's with a 9 shot win at Newbridge.

MBA Division 1
In a repeat of the Friday Cup game, Crosskeys took the spoils again with victory over Pontymister Athletic to maintain their perfect start, picking up another maximum 14 points to stay top. Blackwood remain 2nd and also keep their 100% record with a 10-4 win at Croesyceilog. Bedwas move 3rd following their first win of the season with a 14-0 win over Rhymney Royal. Newbridge edged out Cwmbran park by 2 shots in a 10-4 win to remain 4th.
MBA Division 2
A Closely contested game at Pontnewydd saw RTB Ebbw Vale hold off the home team to record a 10-4 win and remain top of the division. St Julians move 2nd following a 13-1 win over Chepstow and Rhymney Gwent also climb in the table to 3rd with a 12-2 win at home to Caldicot. Blaenavon record their first win with a 10-4 win at Pontypool Park Girlings.
MBA Division 3
Blaina move top of the table with a 12-2 away win at Abergavenny with Machen taking also moving up to 2nd, following their 10-4 win over Bedwellty Park. Abertillery secured a 13-1 win over West Mon rivals Beaufort to secure their first win of the season and move up 2 places.
MBA Division 4
Beechwood move top with a 14-0 win at Oakdale as New Tredegar and Panteg House played out a draw but the home side taking the lions share of the points 9-5. Panteg Park move 4th following their 12-2 win at Pontymister Welfare and Firbank edged out Caerleon by 4 shots to record a 10-4 away win.
MBA Division 5
Aberca retu to the top with a 10-4 win over Newport Athletic. Belle Vue and Six Bells played out the 2nd draw of the day, but this time the away side picking up 9 points to the homes sides 5. Crickhowell ( 8-6 (3 shots) Vs Pontyfelin) and Gilwe (12-2 (2 shots) Vs Gadiffaith) both recorded their first wins in 2 tightly contested games .
GBL Division 1
Caldicot record their first win with a 12-0 victory over Monmouth, who remain top despite the defeat. Croesyceiliog move up to 3rd following a 10-2 win at Crosskeys whilst Bedwas are up to 4th following a narrow win over Chepstow, picking up 8 points in the process.
GBL Division 2
A 5th consecutive win for RTB Ebbw Vale (10-2 at Blaina) sees them remain top. Blackwood also remain 2nd and slightly close the gap with a maximum 12 against Pontymister Welfare. Beechwood move 4th with a 12-0 win over Aberca and Whiteheads recorded their first victory with 10 points against Abergavenny.
GBL Division 3
St Julians (10-0 vs Blackwood) and Beaufort (10-0 Vs Pontypool Girlings) occupy the top 2 positions to maintain their winning starts as New Tredegar open up their season with a 10-0 win at Oakdale.
