This years event saw a new format being used with team playing 4 games of 11 ends or 90 minutes.
Monmouthshire began the day with a narrow 1 shot victory over Montgomeryshire (18-17), before sharing the spoils with Mid Glamorgan (16-16). During session 3 and 4, monmouthshire upped their game and came away with 2 victories, over Vale of Glamorgan (20-10) and West Glamorgan (28-19).
At the end of the day, Monmouthshire finished on 7 points to top the W.B.A. Double Rink standings and take home the 2016 W.B.A. Open Double Rink title.
